Primary Ingredients:

  • N-Acetyl-L-Cystenine
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid
  • Acetyl Carnitine
  • Glutathione
  • L-Theanine
  • Milk Thistle
  • B-Complex Vitamins

Serving per Container: I came across this product on Amazon and they are offering two sizes: 1 bottle (90 capsules) for $39.95 and three bottles for $99.99.

What it Does: BrightDay is anchored on the premise that it is easier to prevent a hangover than to cure it. It works by helping the body in processing the toxins produced by alcohol, thereby reducing hangover symptoms. Let me breakdown the ingredients and tell you what they are supposed to do. The capsules contain B-vitamins that aid metabolism and maintain energy. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine, Prickly Pear Extract and Milk Thistle Extract promote proper alcohol metabolism and healthy liver function. All three have been shown to reduce headache, drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth, stomach discomfort and fatigue.

Ease of Use: BrightDay is simple to use. Just take 3 capsules with your first drink and 3 more every third drink or at the end of your night. Just remember 3×3. You can even use it as a supplement by taking one serving daily to help support healthy liver function. I visited the product website and the manufacturer also recommends drinking a full glass of water with each serving to stay hydrated.

The Good:

  • As previously mentioned, I came across BrightDay on Amazon and honestly I was pretty impressed because 41 users provided their reviews and 90 percent of them gave the product a 5-star rating. I gave it a try and the skeptic in me is now a believer. This product actually made a noticeable difference, mainly by staving off headaches that typically start to set in at 6 AM and ruin the rest of my day.
  • The capsules don’t have any peculiar smell or taste.
  • I didn’t experience any side effects.

The Bad:

  • I’m not quite sure if this is bad or should be taken negatively against BrightDay. I just find the pricing a bit vague. It’s clearly stated that one bottle is good for 30 servings. Remember that the recommended dosage is 3 capsules with your first drink and 3 MORE EVERY THIRD DRINK OR AT THE END OF YOUR NIGHT. That means you need to take at least 6 capsules each time you go out and drink. Since there are 90 capsules per bottle, it only good for 15 servings max.

Summary
BrightDay was created by partner PhDs, leveraging proven analysis by research institutes like National Center for Biotechnology Information. It has great reviews on Amazon.com so I decided to give a try for myself. My first thought was that the serving size is a bit annoying. You have to take 6 (or more) capsules in a night to prevent a hangover. That is not only a lot of pills, but it means there are really only 15 servings in a bottle. That said, this stuff worked great for me.

I tried this out during a heavy night of tequila drinking and to my surprise, I woke up feeling (relatively) great. I took it as recommended- 3 capsules right before I started drinking and 3 more before bed. I also drank a ton of Gatorade when I got home because I thought I was in for a seriously bad morning. I still had a bit of nausea and was a little tired when I first woke up, but nothing near what I was expecting.
