Primary Ingredients:

  • Dextrose
  • Potassium Citrate
  • Sodium Chloride
  • Sodium Citrate
  • Citric Acid
  • Ascorbic Acid

Serving per Container: 25 sticks at roughly $30 total. One stick = one serving.

What it Does:  RecoverORS is an oral rehydration powder designed for the adult body. It helps in restoring electrolytes lost due to diarrhea, hangover, vomiting, fever, excessive sweating due to strenuous activity, traveling and more. Each liter of RecoverORS delivers 60 mEq of sodium and a phenomenally low osmolality of 220 mOsmol to enhance absorption.

Ease of Use: Dissolve one pack of RecoverORS powder in 1 cup of water and consume. After mixing it looked like lemonade and tastes salty-sweet. Take RecoverORS every 1-4 hours as needed or until you feel better. Take up to 8 servings daily. Stop using the product and consult a doctor if vomiting or diarrhea lasts for more than 24 hours.

The Good:

  • No artificial colors or flavorings. No preservatives.
  • The packets are quite handy for those who love to travel.
  • Also works well if you have diarrhea or vomiting due to food poisoning or other stomach illness.
  • Manufacturer offers 100% refund if you are not satisfied with the result (applies to 4-pack only).

The Bad:

  • RecoverOrs sparred me from some of the symptoms of hangover, except for the headache which has always been my biggest problem.
  • I didn’t really care for the salty taste.
  • I’ve read the reviews on Amazon, YouTube and the product website and RecoverORS appears to be exceptional when it comes to dehydration. Unfortunately, it’s just one of the ‘alleged’ causes of hangovers. To be honest, i’ve had better results with products which have been specifically formulated to prevent or cure hangover symptoms. I’ve tried several hangover products so I’m quite familiar with the ingredients that appear to work such as N-acetyl-L-cysteine, prickly pear extract and milk thistle extract. None of them are in RecoverORS’ ingredient list.

Summary
Honestly, I was skeptical about this product because it was not specifically formulated for hangovers. Nonetheless, I gave it a go and took it as directed. There was no special occasion, I was at home watching football with friends and had about 5 beers and a few glasses of whiskey. The following morning, I didn’t feel bad at all. I wasn’t nauseated, dizzy and had no upset stomach. Unfortunately, I did wake up with a bit of a headache and a little groggy. RecoverORS did work in preventing the other symptoms of hangover, but not so much the headache in my case.
